Digital Dominators Has Been Shortlisted at the Scottish Podcast Awards 2026

The Digital Dominators Podcast, hosted by Sooz Young of Technology Coaching, has been officially shortlisted in the Business 2 Business category at the inaugural Scottish Podcast Awards 2026. Here’s the story behind the podcast, the mission that drives it, and what this nomination means.

We've Been Shortlisted. And I'm So Glad.

Digital Dominators Podcast hosted by Sooz Young, shortlisted in the Business 2 Business category at the Scottish Podcast Awards 2026

Nearly a year ago, I launched the Digital Dominators Podcast with a simple but powerful mission: to prove that being a Digital Dominator has absolutely nothing to do with being a tech expert.

Today, that mission has been recognised on a national stage.

Digital Dominators has been officially shortlisted in the Business 2 Business category at the inaugural Scottish Podcast Awards 2026, selected from more than 400 entries submitted from across Scotland.

I’m not going to pretend I didn’t do a little victory dance when that email landed.

This shortlisting isn’t just a personal milestone.

It’s validation that the conversations we’ve been having on this podcast, real, honest, jargon-free conversations about technology, digital mindset, and what it actually takes to navigate the digital world as a business owner, are resonating. And that matters enormously.

What Is the Digital Dominators Podcast?

Digital Dominators is a business podcast hosted by me, Sooz Young, founder of Technology Coaching and creator of the Tekunoji® Method.

Every episode is a conversation with a business leader, entrepreneur, or expert who is using technology and digital thinking to do something remarkable in their field. But here’s the thing that makes it different: we don’t talk in acronyms, we don’t assume technical knowledge, and we never gatekeep.

The podcast is built around the Tekunoji® Method, my proprietary framework of six core skills that underpin a true digital mindset.

Those six skills aren’t about knowing how to code or mastering the latest software. They’re about developing the human-led approach to technology that allows any business, in any industry, to move forward with confidence.

Each guest conversation brings those skills to life through real stories, practical examples, and the kind of honest chat that makes you think “actually, I can do this.”

You can listen to Digital Dominators on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, YouTube, Goodpods, Castbox, and all major platforms.

What Does It Mean to Be a Digital Dominator?

This is the question at the heart of everything.

Being a Digital Dominator is not about being the most technically savvy person in the room. It’s not about having the flashiest tools or spending half your week learning new software.

It’s about having the mindset to approach digital with curiosity, confidence, and clarity.

The Tekunoji® Method was built on a simple truth: every business owner already has the essential human skills to navigate technology.

The problem isn’t capability. It’s confidence, clarity, and knowing where to start.

Through nearly a year of podcast conversations, that message has been reinforced episode after episode.

Whether we were talking about AI and automation, cyber security, social media marketing, web presence, or business innovation, every single guest came back to the same thing: mindset first, tools second.

That’s what Digital Dominators is here to change. And that’s why being shortlisted at the Scottish Podcast Awards, in the Business 2 Business category specifically, feels so right.

The Business 2 Business Category: Strong Competition

The Business 2 Business shortlist for 2026 is genuinely impressive, and I’m proud to sit alongside these shows:

M&G Agency Life | The Calling Conversations | Risking It All | The ESPC Property Show | Business, Balls & Banter | The Know Your Numbers Podcast | The Go Radio Business Show with Hunter and Haughey | Edinburgh Business Stories | Full of Ourselves Podcast

These are established, well-produced shows with loyal audiences. Being shortlisted alongside them, in the very first year of these awards, is something I don’t take lightly.

The Guests Who Made This Happen

None of this exists without the guests.

Over the past year, Digital Dominators has welcomed some genuinely brilliant people to the mic.

Business owners, technologists, coaches, creatives, and experts who gave their time, their stories, and their expertise to our listeners.

Many of them have told me it’s one of the best podcast experiences they’ve had.

That feedback means more to me than any award nomination.

Because that’s what I set out to create. Not a polished, perfectly produced content machine. A real conversation. The kind where you forget it’s being recorded, where ideas spark, where the listener feels like they’re sitting in the room with us.

A huge thank you to Lucy McCarraher MBE, Caroline Laurenson, Helen Denny, Penny Hopkinson, Ilaria Sambi, Tamryn Dicks, Gary Crawford, Kevin Stewart, Kay Suthar, Amanda Webb, Abigail Mills, Suz Bird, Niki Hutchison, Lindsay McGlone, Kristine Monaghan, Ceri Shaw, Danny and Katie Bloomfield, Jules White, Emeka Ebeniro, and every guest who has been part of Season 1.

You are the Digital Dominators story.

Scotland's Podcast Scene Is Thriving

The Scottish Podcast Awards were created to celebrate exactly this: a podcasting community that is growing, innovating, and punching well above its weight globally.

Scotland has the highest weekly podcast reach of any UK home nation, with 23% of adults tuning in every week.

The inaugural awards received more than 400 entries across more than 20 categories, judged by an independent panel of almost 50 industry experts.

That’s not a small thing. Scotland is building a genuine audio culture, and the awards are a landmark moment in recognising that.

The ceremony takes place on Thursday 25 June 2026 at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow, a UNESCO City of Music venue, which is honestly the perfect setting.

I’ll be there, absolutely buzzing, bringing the robot vibes and ready to celebrate with the wider Scottish podcasting community regardless of the outcome.

Tickets are available here if you want to join the celebration.

What's Next: Season 2 Is Coming

And here’s the part I’m particularly excited about.

Season 2 of Digital Dominators is launching around the time of the awards ceremony, and it’s a significant step up.

We’re going global, with US speakers joining the lineup, a brand new format, and an even sharper focus on what it takes to lead with a digital mindset in today’s world.

The shortlisting is brilliant timing. It gets this message out to more people, at exactly the moment Season 2 is ready to land.

Watch this space.
